Acne Remedies - Green Tea

Green tea has been used as a natural acne remedy for a long time. Green tea is well known for its health benefits and has been used in China for a very long time to treat a variety of conditions. It is rich in a chemical named epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) which is a powerful antioxidant. Also the gel did not cause drying out of the skin which is a usual side effect of using benzoyl peroxide or other harsh chemicals.

Gels and lotions can be purchased that contain green tea or you could easily make one at home. Add some water to green tea and boil, then gently apply the cooled down preparation to your skin. As well you can drink green tea which lets the ingredients to start to work from within. You should drink at least 2 cups each and use the solution containing green tea extracts to your skin as many as three times a day. In two to three you should see an improvement in the condition of your acne and you will have a healthier skin.

After about a month you should notice a significant in your acne and you will have a clearer skin.
